I was so excited when I finally came across a pack of these nail art pens that had a good color assortment to choose from. I have seem plenty of these here and there but the color schemes are always off. I feel like BLACK should be a staple when you’re getting nail art pens, uh HULLO! That was the hardest one to FIND!! I found these Sally Hansen Nail Art Pens at Wally World this weekend. They had an assortment of colors….most had two blacks or two whites with only one bright color, finding this one took some energy. They still need a good trial period of getting used to them, before I would ruin your manicure. I am still teeming with ideas for the coming months for nail looks. I can’t wait until I can try some Halloween looks with these!

So much easier for me to create smooth edges with these, I always seem to “color outside the lines” with liner brushes. The tip of the pen is very controllable. Color is relatively opaque, Teal and White needed a second coat, Black needed a very LIGHT first coat. See below for Blunder…

BLEEDING! You have to wait until COMPLETELY DRY if you must layer the colors. The formula of the “polish” really feels like “acrylic paint” to me!! It gets everywhere if you don’t leave it still to set, DRIP CITY IF NOT!

(1) Always wait until the base has dried. (2) You may need to layer the colors. (My Pinkie needed another coat. EEK) (3) Don’t Press TOO hard with the pen-like tip, as it will drag your polish base and frustrate you into starting over…(4) Don’t get the pen color on your skin. I’m on day 3 of trying to get Black out of my cuticle bed and under nail. Story of MY LIFE!!!

While I have ODC tendencies towards neatness and order, I am a total creative basket case! (in a good way!) I have the every pressing urge to make EVERYTHING and put my own spin on something plain to make it PIZAZZ!
